Hosdo Privacy Policy

Hosdo collects only the information needed to review app submissions, answer contact requests, and keep the service reliable. Last updated May 5, 2026.

Information Hosdo collects

  • Developer submissions: Google Play URL, optional app name, developer or company name, contact email, category, privacy policy URL, launch rationale, and private audit waitlist interest.
  • Contact email: information you choose to send when reporting outdated metadata or requesting corrections.
  • Operational data: API requests may appear in server, nginx, systemd, and hosting logs.
  • Hosdo does not currently run public user review collection in the app UI.

How it is used

  • To manually screen low-visibility Android apps.
  • To contact developers about submissions, corrections, or private audit waitlist interest.
  • To operate public app pages, spam controls, backups, and security monitoring.

What is public

  • Curated app listings, editorial notes, and app metadata can be public.
  • Developer submissions remain private until Hosdo manually accepts and publishes an app.
  • Email addresses submitted through the developer form are not shown publicly by default.

Controls and retention

  • Developers can request correction or deletion of submitted contact data.
  • SQLite backups may retain deleted data for a limited operational recovery window.
  • Hosdo does not make claims about analytics or cookies unless those tools are added and disclosed.

Operator context

  • Hosdo is operated by Akasoft, a software, AI, and digital product engineering company.
  • Hosdo support remains available at [email protected].
  • Akasoft is shown as the organization operating Hosdo; Hosdo contact data and support requests remain handled through Hosdo channels.
